Antique cooking gadgets: pastry blender


So long to my modern pastry blender.  Who could resist this bakelite handled beauty?

    This is what I use. So I am wondering what a "modern" one looks like. Can you see I don't get to the gadget aisle often ~lol~

    LOL!! Modern ones look the same, but they don't have beautiful bakelite handles ;-)

    When I'm tired or feeling lazy, I let my KitchenAid blend pastry for me.

    But really, there's nothing better than one of those ol'-timey pastry blenders.
